Our first veggie garden (part 1)

I have been dying to start planting our own vegetables. So we planted our first 6 vegetables today. Hopefully this attempt will harvest some success and we can soon start planting more. May is not the best time to start, with a frosty winter before us, but what the heck, I cant wait. So here we go ... Broad beans,  Swiss card, mixed spinach, carrots, leeks and radishes !! We don't eat Radishes, but it's one of the few veggies that grow in winter. We can give it away, girls will like that.

Yesterday we got Mouton to come and help dig and prepare our patch.

This morning Lily and Lexi planted the broad beans first

Next we sowed the seeds in rows

We were filthy, so a nice relaxing outdoor bath was fun

And there you see our GORGEOUS Eden ... Cant wait to see some sprouts :)

Still some work to be done like putting up support for beans and protect it against our chickens. I have no idea how, but we have a few day to figure out a plan.
