Some random food pics ...

A typical grocery run for this vegan family at the local fruit and veg shop when I cant get to a market or I'm low on cash like this week ...blush ...

Some spreads and preserve I made one morning, figs were a gift from my neighbor friend ...bless her !!

The most beautiful carrots out my garden !!!!

The most nutritious chocolate on the planet in my opinion ...
Kids not crazy about it, but I loooooooooove it !!! Frighteningly expensive but worth every cent !

What this vegan family ate today # 7

Breakfast was crispy tofu with organic brown rice and peas. With mango banana smoothie.

Snack was veggies and the most amazingly delicious Ranch dressing. This dressing can replace mayo and super versatile AND healthy !!!!!

RANCH DRESSING
1 cup cashews, soaked
1/4 cup hemp seeds
1/2 - 3/4 cup water (add gradually and as needed for blending)
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup olive oil
1.5 tablespoons agave
1 clove garlic
1/2 tablespoon sea salt
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon fresh dill, finely chopped
½ cup fresh basil, finely chopped
1 tsp fresh parsley, fine chopped

blend all but fresh herbs - fold in once blended

Lunch was Pasta salad with the ranch dressing

Afternoon snack was Steers chips, I'm not proud of the food, but it's our Sunday afternoon tradition and kids live for it. We enjoyed it in the nearby park, and I'm sure all those oily calories were burned in akk the play.

Light supper, as no one was hungry, was organic gem-squash with coconut sugar, cinnamon and peanut butter .... I know this sounds weird but you HAVE to taste before you judge ... it's delish !!!!

Awesome vegan options at Doppio Zero

I had this as a light lunch at Dopio Zero today, it was so yummy ... so I made it at home with great success.

Oven bake cauliflower, cooked quinoa, stir fry mushrooms, peppers and kale. I made a light dressing with soy sauce and pomegranate infused balsamic.
This is awesome on its own and delicious on a panini roll

What this vegan family ate today # 6

Breakfast was cooked oats with banana, cinnamon and soy milk.

This is our morning harvest today out my veggie garden.

So I ussed the brinjals to make a stir fry with onion, left over butter beans, tomato and mushrooms. For lunch we had it on toasted sandwiches.

Afternoon snack we made carrot/banana muffins ... topped with goji berries and grated 100% dark chocolate.

Supper was boiled potato with same brinjal stir fry mix.

The BEST DIY play dough recipe ....

> 2 Cups Flour
> 1 Cup Salt
> 4 Teaspoons Cream of Tartar
> 3 Tablespoons Oil
> 2 Cups Water

(Here you can also add in a few drops of Lavender / Rose / Lemon or Peppermint Oil (or similar) or Vanilla Essence, so it smells good! Plain is also ok though. Adding Glitter is also a fun little extra!)

Put all the ingredients into a large pot & place on a hot stove  & stir continuously. When it becomes a big sticky blob, remove from the stove. When it has cooled slightly, knead it to ensure it is well mixed - cool - play!!!
Store it in the fridge, in an air tight container & it will last quite a while.
